This is going to be your one-stop shop for "A DAY IN THE LIFE OF CULINARY SCHOOL".

After 9 years in Technology, I decided it was time to finally pursue my passion. So that's just what I'm doing and you get to follow along and live life in my shoes!

I’ve always loved to cook, I’ve cooked for family and friends for years. I basically am a self-taught cook and looking to finally work in the field that I love. So, I packed up my things and left my 2nd home of San Francisco and headed to Portland to start at Western Culinary Institute. With the support of my family back in Belleville, Illinois and all my friends, I’m living my dream.

One of the other things I’m passionate about is wine, winemaking and pairing wine with food. A few years ago, a group of us in San Francisco had an idea and the means to start a wine club, which is exactly what we did. Check out our wine club: www.mamacork.com.

So that being said, the goal of this journey is to eventually become a Culinary Director at a winery to combine both of my loves.
